Bere Mill Garden Open Day in Support of the National Garden Scheme.
This weekend our gardens will be opening for the last time this year. As Summer turns to Autumn, the gardens are looking spectacular. The garden covers five acres, allowing cultivated formal planting to meet the wild. Explore herbaceous borders, bog garden and Mediterranean gravel gardens with cistus, lavenders and tree peonies.

Tickets: Adult – £7.50 Children Free. Well behaved dogs are also welcome.
All proceeds go to charity.
Thanks to the generosity of garden owners, volunteers and visitors, NGS have donated over £60 million to nursing and health charities and made an annual donation of £2.88 million in 2020 to beneficiaries including Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK and the Queen’s Nursing Institute.

We are opening our Mill and gardens as part of Heritage Open Days for the first Silk Mill Food Festival, for everyone to enjoy for free! You will be spoilt with a selection of culinary suppliers tempting you in with delicious delights and tasty treats.

Whitchurch Folk Club Returns with Martin Simpson Saturday 11th September 8pm (doors open 7.30pm) OK… baby steps… but we think we might be back! On Sept 11, we’ll be bringing Martin Simpson back to Whitchurch Folk Club. Essential Information Before leaving home please note the following important points:
BAR: the bar will only be accepting CARD payments and serve a modest (but still delicious) selection of bottles and cans. DISTANCING: thank you in advance for observing safe distancing to ensure the comfort of all audience members, the musicians and their crew and the folk club team. We have sold max 70% of the audience capacity for the hall in order to allow space for comfortable movement. Chairs will be laid out with wider gaps and more aisles than usual. MASKS: in line with other folk clubs, we would ask you to please bring a mask and wear it whilst moving around the hall, removing it when seated if you wish. MERCHANDISE: card payments encouraged. VENTILATION: you may wish to bring extra/warm clothing as the hall will be kept ventilated throughout the evening. HYGIENE: hand washing facilities and hand gel will be provided, and all areas will be cleaned thoroughly before and after the concert. CHECK IN: although it is no longer required to sign in to the venue via NHS track and trace, a QR will be available should you wish to check in. SYMPTOMS: please do not come to this concert if you have any Covid symptoms (currently identified as a new, persistent cough, a high temperature, loss or changes to senses of taste or smell). If you develop symptoms after the event, please inform the team as soon as possible.

A day has been organized to bring together the organizations/clubs/therapists and societies that are available to the people of Whitchurch to enhance their lives and give them a sense of wellbeing.
A cross section of people will be available to help and advise during the day in a comfortable and non- confrontational environment.
