More infoFurlock Holmes Animal Rescue – Family Fun Day We are absolutely delighted to be hosting our annual Family Fun Day event on Sunday 29th August from 12pm to 4pm.
After last year’s event was cancelled due to COVID, we are expecting twice the fun this year! With everything from an inflatable obstacle course and ice cream van, to pony grooming and a dog show, we are so excited to be seeing everyone again.
This year, we will be holding our Family Fun Day alongside the Whitchurch Scarecrow Trail so why not pop by on your walk around the fantastic scarecrows of Whitchurch? If last year’s trail is anything to go by, it is not something not to be missed!
All proceeds will go towards the care of our lovely rescue animals, some of which will be there on the day for you to meet. Bridget (the not-so-micro pig) will, of course, be eagerly awaiting your arrival too!
We are already counting down the days and hope to see you there 🙂
Adults – £2 Child – £1
Well behaved dogs on leads welcome.

Key information:
Age range: All ages (under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian).
Accessibility: Not suitable for wheelchair users or those with very limited mobility, due to grassy and uneven ground.
Meeting point: Cross Winchester Road road to access the meadow via the metal gate in the shape of a fish. Make your way along the footpath to the far back corner of the meadow, where the chalk stream flows.
Car parking: Available at Longmeadow Sports Centre.
Other information: Wellies are needed if you wish to go in the stream (approx. 8cm in depth). There is limited shade on site, so a sun hat and water are recommended. No toilets are available, but public toilets can be found in Whitchurch town centre.

We’re following the latest guidance and taking measures to help ensure the safety of everyone involved. More infoWhitchurch Children’s Festival – Celebrating Whitchurch’s Natural Landscape Saturday 31st July and Sunday 1st August 2021
Thanks to some generous funding from Arts Council England, Whitchurch Conservation Group will be holding Whitchurch Children’s Festival, a weekend-long festival of hands-on workshops and activities for primary school and preschool age children celebrating Whitchurch’s natural landscape. After more than a year of lockdown, it’s a much-needed opportunity to strengthen children’s emotional and social wellbeing, try out new and exciting experiences, as well as spend time with family and friends.
The festival’s family-focused programme is packed with an exciting range of activities including willow weaving, stencilling, art mural painting, pottery, jewellery making, wood whittling, dance, storytelling of Hampshire local folklore, Storytime and Rhymetime, music-making sessions: steel pans, taiko drums (and much, much more!) ——————————
Affordable weekend family ticket pricing We know days out can be expensive for families, so we have worked hard to keep ticket prices affordable.
A family ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children) costs £15 for the entire weekend. Once inside the watermeadow, all children’s activities are included in the ticket price.
