RHS Partnership talk ‘Late Spring Flowering Perennials’ with Rosy Hardy of Hardy’s Nursery

Join Rosy Hardy at Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants for a talk on Spring flowering perennials.

Rosy picks a selection of late Spring flowering perennials from the nursery and talks about their attributes – how best to grow them, combine them with other plants to create great planting combinations and how to avoid common pitfalls.

An opportunity for a behind the scenes tour of this 24 times RHS Chelsea Flower Show gold medal winning nursery.

Easter Crafting and Potting Workshop for Kids – Hardy’s Nursery

Bring along your LITTLE CRAFTERS to this fun and hands-on Easter workshop, where they can Decorate their Very Own Plant Pot all ready for planting with a Super Sempervivum to take home plus make an Easter Chick or Bunny.

While the children are waiting for everything to dry, they can take up our challenge of a fun Easter Egg Hunt.

Light refreshments are included.

All children must be accompanied by an adult who will stay with them during the workshop – anticipated duration 90 minutes.

Whitchurch Cricket Club – First Friendly of the Season

It’s matchweek!! Finally after a long off season our first friendly of the season.

We welcome tour side Devonshire Jesters who come to Parsonage Meadow for the first time. Whitchurch will be hoping to use this opportunity to play into some form for the upcoming season.

Come on down to Parsonage Meadow at 13.00 on Saturday for a delightful day of cricket.

Mind Charity Quiz – Thursday 21st April 8pm In June, Georgina will be undertaking the Three Peaks Challenge to fundraise for Mind!

Mental health has effected many people close to us all. Georgina wants to complete this challenge to show the people closest to us who are struggling, or have been impacted by mental health that we support them and that we are there for them.

It would be wonderful if you could attend our Quiz night so that Mind can continue to deliver the amazing work that they do for mental health.

Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a truly special place, protected for you.

From remote, rolling downland to picture postcard villages the North Wessex Downs are truly special. Undoubtedly among Britain’s most beautiful landscapes, they are somewhere to be treasured, protected and enjoyed. Straddling four counties and often unheralded, this is an area united by a single factor – chalk.

With 28 walks on offer across the length and breadth of the North Wessex Downs our festival is a celebration of the stunning landscapes, gorgeous scenery and top-class walking country that the AONB has to offer.

We have opportunities for you to seek out wildlife, history or culture, visit a farm, follow an accessible trail, picnic with the family, improve your navigation skills or simply to soak up the views from the top of the downs.

Many of the walks are free.
