Walkers are Welcome is a community led network of accredited towns and villages whose purpose is to develop and promote walking in areas with something special to offer.

In October 2015 Whitchurch became the first town in North Hampshire to gain accreditation and since then the town’s volunteers have contributed to local tourism plans and worked to develop and promote the many walking opportunities on offer locally. Regular maintenance of the footpath network ensures excellent walking opportunities all year round.

You’ll know you’re in a Walkers are Welcome community when you see the familiar black and gold logo in shops, cafes, pubs and B&Bs.

Please be sure look out for these as you walk round town.
