Hampshire Countryside Access have advised that footpath 9 from Kings Walk to Chatter Lane will be closed from the 22nd December to the 31st January for urgent repairs to the Jerusalem Arch.

Whitchurch Association Trustees would like to inform residents and visitors that the Winchester Street car park alongside the Silk Mill will be closed on Monday 20th Jan 2025 between 9am and 4pm, to enable Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council to complete essential tree work on their land behind the Gill Nethercott Centre.
Any cars left overnight will need to be removed before 09.00 as a chipping machine will be in operation in the access road to/from the car park throughout the day.
Access will remain open to people on foot wishing to use the centre/Silk Mill; there will be banksmen in place whilst the chipper is in operation.
This essential tree and groundwork is necessary to comply with the requirements of the management plan that was a condition of the original planning permission for the Gill Nethercott Centre and meets with Natural England requirements for conserving the SSSI habitats.

Bish and Steve will be leading us through all the fun and all proceeds will go towards the repair of the All Hallows Church organ.

QuimantĂş presents Surtierra Touring Project: When Music is Home at All Hallows Church Whitchurch
The celebrated Anglo-Chilean band Quimantu performing with the Andover Museum Loft Singers, the SWVG Choir and the Alkyona Quartet.
The Surtierra Tour is a tribute to those forced to leave their homeland, often with sorrow. In this context, music takes on a profound meaning: healing, uniting, rooting, and building community. The concert will feature the Misa de los Mineros – The Miners’ Mass (composed by Mauricio Venegas-Astorga) which will be followed by a second half programme of world and folk music from Quimantu and Andover Museum Loft Singers.
