Music In The Meadow – Live Music Festival – 2021 Headline Act – Faustus Whitchurch has been growing it’s reputation as a music hub with many talented musicians living locally; this was exemplified during lockdown when a number of them took to the internet to do their best to keep us entertained during lockdown.
To celebrate the easing of restrictions and the return of live open air music, there couldn’t be a better time to get some of these musicians together, to perform for you beside the River Test in the beautiful Fulling Mill watermeadow. With the nationally acclaimed, contemporary “bloke folk” band Faustus performing as the headline act, it promises to be a fabulous evening of coming together…. (but not too close) and with great entertainment against a picture perfect setting.

Whitchurch Children’s Festival – Celebrating Whitchurch’s Natural Landscape Saturday 31st July and Sunday 1st August 2021
Thanks to some generous funding from Arts Council England, Whitchurch Conservation Group will be holding Whitchurch Children’s Festival, a weekend-long festival of hands-on workshops and activities for primary school and preschool age children celebrating Whitchurch’s natural landscape. After more than a year of lockdown, it’s a much-needed opportunity to strengthen children’s emotional and social wellbeing, try out new and exciting experiences, as well as spend time with family and friends.
The festival’s family-focused programme is packed with an exciting range of activities including willow weaving, stencilling, art mural painting, pottery, jewellery making, wood whittling, dance, storytelling of Hampshire local folklore, Storytime and Rhymetime, music-making sessions: steel pans, taiko drums (and much, much more!) ——————————
Affordable weekend family ticket pricing We know days out can be expensive for families, so we have worked hard to keep ticket prices affordable.
A family ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children) costs £15 for the entire weekend. Once inside the watermeadow, all children’s activities are included in the ticket price.

We are pleased to announce that the weekly SINGING FOR THE MIND sessions will be restarting at the Gill Nethercott Centre on Monday 26th July 10.30 am.
We are delighted to announce the return of ‘Singing for the Mind’ at the GNC. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be available from 10.30am onwards followed by some lusty singing and healthy banter. All are welcome – £3.00 per person, carers free.
For the next year these popular, professionally led sessions are supported by a National Lottery Community Awards for All grant.
