A week to celebrate and inspire local green initiatives in the Whitchurch community. This year the event will take a different shape with many activities being available online to carry out within household groups in line with government guidance on social distancing.

EVENT UPDATES: Sustainable Overton can no longer hold their Green Fair due to Covid 19 guidance, Oakley Green Week has also been cancelled for the same reasons. All Low Waste Whitchurch activities were planned to be carried out in household groups only so everything can continue as planned. Events for Individuals and Family/Household Groups

Walkers are Welcome Litter picking event Sat 26th September am…..

• The litter pick will be organised as separated actions by individuals and family groups who are in the same Covid-19 “bubble” concentrating on locations near to where they live.

• Thursday 24th and Friday 25th September 9am – 10am We have a limited number of litter-picking sticks and rubbish bags, which we will be handing out in the car park alongside the Gill Nethercott Centre on a strictly first come, first served basis.

• Participants are asked to bring their filled rubbish bags & litter picking sticks to a collection point at the Gill Nethercott Centre car park between 12.00 and 14.00. All litter picking sticks will be sanitised pre and post collection.

All Hallow’s Church Sunday 20th September …. The sermon will include a care of the environment theme.
