Visit England Tourism Week – ‘Local Stories’ – Discover Whitchurch

An opportunity for you to discover more about our town on a FREE guided Heritage Walk around the historic centre.
Hear about the recent discovery, pinpointing the location of the earliest ‘settled’ community c.2,500 years before the founding of the ‘White Church’ that gave the town it’s name. Hear about the 19th century ‘Right to Protest’ that Whitchurch folk won for the citizens of this country and the literary figures that have been inspired by the town and the fabulous waters of the River Test chalk stream that has played such an integral part in shaping the town’s prosperity.
