2026 marks the 250 year anniversary of the founding of Whitchurch Cricket Club

Did You Know that Whitchurch cricket club was formed in 1776 making it one of the oldest cricket clubs in the UK and indeed worldwide…. now that’s something to shout about!

To mark this momentous occasion, Parsonage Meadow will host a week long festival of cricket commencing on Saturday the 4th July and running throughout the week, culminating in WCC 1st XI taking on Lincolns Inn on Sunday 12th July.

The highlight of the Club’s anniversary celebrations will no doubt be the high profile all-day match against the famous Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) beginning at 11:00am on Sunday 5th July.

This week long festival of cricket will feature matches across junior, youth, adult and ladies’ teams…. do come along and cheer on the teams. Please see the schedule for full details.
