A punch needle creates a field of tightly-packed loops of thread or yarn, which produces a distinct, highly textured design made of loops that shows off its connection to rug making.
In this workshop you will be able to create up to 3 Christmas baubles. Your punch needle kit is included in the ticket price so you will be able to try out your new skill at home to create any design you wish!

The sky may be grey at this time of the year, but the world of wildlife remains full of colour. Our local chalk streams are still bustling, both above and below the surface. Wandering the banks, you might see beautiful birds or the first signs of blooms on trees. Down in the water, smaller creatures make the most of the steady flow.
In this talk, Susan Simmonds from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust will uncover the wildlife that flourishes along our chalk streams during wintertime. Learn how these habitats stay vibrant in colder weather, and get inspiration on what to look out for on your walk.
