The five-foot long yellow/white Corn snake was reported missing on Thursday afternoon leading to a flurry of comments on this website’s social media page (Facebook).
The local story ‘reached’ over 3000 people before he was found just a few hours later.

Corn snakes are harmless and beneficial to humans. They lack functional venom and help control populations of wild rodent pests that damage crops and spread disease. They are a popular pet.

However many people are wary of snakes and a big sigh of relief went around when the snake was found.
