Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council have published a reminder of their ‘Call for Sites’.
PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE NOT APPLICATIONS – this is an exercise to find out which land ‘may’ be available in order to facilitate future planning.
The Borough Council, which is the planning authority for Whitchurch, has recently started work on updating its Local Plan which identifies possible sites that could receive applications for future housing and employment.
Allied to this, Whitchurch Town Council is looking at how it should arrange the updating of its own Neighbourhood Plan which needs to align with the Local Plan and also housing supply requirements to have validity.
Town Councillors have started to consider what process it should use in order to enable the input of local views.
This is an item on the Town Council Agenda of Monday 1st July, which can be accessed here (NB: this is not about which, if any, sites may be considered):

Please note: THIS website (www.whitchurch.org.uk) is NOT a ‘Council site’, but is run by unpaid volunteers who simply wish for better communication within the Whitchurch community. As a result the accuracy of any information provided is done in good faith.
