Bring your own cycle or hire one locally and enjoy the quiet lanes in the surrounding countryside. Ride to Watership Down, Beacon Hill or along the peaceful Bourne Valley. HCC have created a trail map for off-road cycling.

Enjoy tea and scones in one of the tea rooms or a full restaurant meal in one of the fine hostelries.
Heritage Trail
Follow a trail around the Town noting the buildings of interest and historical connections.
Meadow and Activities
Take a relaxing walk around the Millennium Meadow, pick up an activity leaflet and take part in one of the quizzes or treasure hunts, or find the log circle and enjoy a picnic under the old oak tree.
Mill Trail
Follow a waymarked Mill Trail along quiet paths and lanes, and reap the history of the mills that once dominated local industry. Choice of three distances.
Pub Tour
Enjoy a wander around some of the town’s renowned public houses join in the conversation and take in the traditional atmosphere.
Silk Mill
Watch the looms and waterwheel in operation, see various changing exhibitions, and visit the tea room and shop, and feed the ducks in the river.
