Whitchurch Youth Project runs two youth clubs and other activities for young people and also offers training for volunteer leaders.

“Freedom” Youth Café on Fridays in Methodist Church rooms

The “Freedom” Youth Café is now open between 8.00 and 10.00 on Friday evenings in the rooms at the back of the Methodist Church in Winchester Street.  It is a safe meeting place for 14 – 19 year olds, for light refreshments, electronic/computer games and pool.

This is run in partnership with Basingstoke Voluntary Services (BVS) whose “outreach” team are on the streets of Whitchurch on Fridays.  The team working in the Youth Café is led by experienced youth leader Jay Whiting and includes local volunteers.

Whitchurch Youth Project provides training for Youth Leaders in partnership with “4Youth“.

The “Next Steps” course is on 29th and 30th March 2014 in Whitchurch Town Hall (by kind permission of the Town Hall Trustees).
