Today was the closing date for nominations for seats on Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.

Whitchurch has two seats and one of those is up for election on polling day, Thursday 3rd May at the Gill Nethercott Centre (7.00am – 10.00pm).

Councillors stand for a term of four years, and current Councillor Eric Dunlop of Queens Road has submitted his application to restand alongside existing Borough Councillor Keith Watts who is not up for re-election this year.
