Plans for the second Whitchurch GreenAware Week this coming March again feature a variety of events linked to environmental themes.

FILM: No Impact Man
Top film ‘No Impact Man’ is being brought to the Gill Nethercott Cinema on Wednesday 23rd March, which features a family abandoning high consumption. The messages are clear and thought provoking but the film has much entertainment value and humorous content!

TALK: Wildlife of Whitchurch and Beyond

ART EXHIBITION: Mother Earth
Saturday (26th) sees the Whitchurch Arts Exhibition at the GNC which has a theme of ‘Mother Earth’. This is the first of two main exhibitions being held this year and it is hoped it will be also linking in with art related to the Mityana project.

EARTH HOUR: Joining the World
The evening culminates in the now established Earth Hour when Whitchurch again joins the world in switching off the lights. There will also be some special entertainment with a drumming workshop and an African-themed supper at this highly atmospheric event. Organised by Whitchurch Arts and supported by Whitchurch GreenAware this is a mixture of creativity and environmental awareness.
