Clapping ThankyouThis evening, Thursday 26th March, Whitchurch clapped along with the rest of the country for all those on the ‘front line’ who are showing such dedication and commitment in this time of crisis.

Windows and doors opened
Windows and doors opened around the town and at 8.00pm the clapping began followed by cheers.
Whitchurch was joining together in appreciation and gratitude for all those who are risking their own lives to make ours better and to save the lives of those suffering in this terrible coronavirus pandemic.

A weekly clap?
The ‘Clap for our Carers’ campaign idea came from Annemarie Plas after witnessing it in her home of the Netherlands. She is hoping that it will become a weekly occurrence at 8.00pm every Thursday.

To the doctors, nurses, carers, GPs, pharmacists, drivers, shop workers, cleaners, and many many others…
You have often been taken for granted and undervalued – never again.

THANK YOU
