This Saturday sees the annual Whitchurch Carnival, a colourful Procession and Fete that brings the whole town out for a day of fun and enjoyment.
Through the town centre
After the judging of entries the Procession starts at 1.00pm in Ardglen Road before passing down through the town centre on its way to the Primary School, where at around 2.00pm it joins the Carnival Fete with its stalls, games, competitions and other attractions.
Anyone travelling through the town is asked to be patient while the procession passes.
The events are organised by the hard-working volunteers of the Whitchurch Festival Association which raises funds for local good causes, so please give generously as the buckets are shaken! Future events planned include a circus, fireworks and community supper.
On the field adjacent to the school the Dedication of Daniel Park as a QEII Field will also be taking place where local dignatories and Friends of the Park will be unveiling the plaque. Time – 2.00pm.
