Part-time Job Vacancy.

Due to the imminent retirement of the present incumbent, a vacancy has arisen at the Whitchurch Welfare Trust, for a Clerk to the Trustees, to start in early 2011.

The job involves taking and circulating the minutes of between four to six daytime meetings per year (each about an hour long), maintaining the address list and secretarial records of the Trust, and dealing with general correspondence.
The job would suit someone, not currently in full-time employment, with the relevant secretarial and IT skills, who is particularly interested in helping to provide a worthwhile service to the community of Whitchurch. Local residence preferable.
There is a small honorarium.

The Whitchurch Welfare Trust was formed in 1968 as the amalgamation of six existing charities, set up:

“For the relief of need, hardship or distress in the Ancient Parish of Whitchurch”.

The Trust distributes a total of around £10,000 per annum to meet this objective, which also includes providing financial assistance to young people and students entering further education or training courses.
