The town’s official website, this site!, has hit the incredible figure of 10,000 views a month for the first time.
This is a fantastic achievement for a community-owned and managed site.

People, like you, have looked at a total of 10,000 pages here just this month: business news, tourism info, community events and town information. The counter is not increased when a ‘logged in’ person visits, such as a volunteer who maintains the site.

Launched on May 1st last year, this website’s visitor counter has been steadily increasing until this month when the magic milestone figure was reached.

Control your own content
Unlike many other sites, this site allows easy access to add and edit your own entries, be they events, news stories, or business promotions.

Run by volunteers
The site was put together by the Town Centre Improvements Steering Group with funds provided by SEEDA. It was then handed over to the charitable Whitchurch Association (WA) who added in the main content. At the WA AGM last year a team of volunteers was set up to manage the site. They have been adding events and news items, as well as keeping the business and community sections up to date.
