Crime logoThe community website has received notice that a local business has suffered fake banknotes being used to make a purchase.

Two girls described as young with Irish accents entered Kudos, the coffee shop on Church Street.
One was wearing a beige and brown top and the other a red top over a striped T-shirt.
Both have mid length brown hair.
They have been captured on CCTV.

It is also reported that the same took place in Tesco last week.

OTHERS BE WARNED. THEY MAY STRIKE AGAIN

Update:
A posting on this website’s associated Facebook page has provided further information:

“…they have been attempting to use £50 notes in order to buy very small value items and from what has been observed the behaviour is very deliberate, they have also been seen with adults that have sent them into the shops in order to make the purchases…”
