The Whitchurch Walking for Health group has gone from strength to strength and now has around 50 walkers who set off from the Gill Nethercott Centre on Wednesday mornings.

Two free walks are arranged, with Registration at 9.45am for a 10.00am set off. One walk is at a medium pace and lasts around an hour, while the other is longer and a little faster. Children and dogs are welcome and attendees should dress for the weather and wear footwear suitable for walking.

Refreshments are enjoyed at the Centre on return.

The walkers recently visited the ‘British Rock’ which is presently at the entrance to the Millennium Meadow. See our report: THE ROCK HAS ARRIVED

The Rock leaves Whitchurch on the next stage of its journey on Tuesday 9th October, so there is not much time left to touch it!
