Big event on Saturday morning is the first Whitchurch Volunteer Fair being held at the Gill Nethercott Centre.

With groups and organisations from throughout the town, the Fair is an opportunity to find out about volunteering, as well as making friends, finding out about new skills and having fun.

The event was spawned from the regular community groups meetings held over recent months at which many local voluntary organisations have come together to share experiences.
A whole range of groups will be present to talk to, from Testbourne Teapot and the Millennium Green to Whitchurch NeighbourCare and the Festival.

Whether you are interested in just learning more about the town, or helping at a toddlers’ group, finding out about youth activities, assisting the elderly, or even painting a bollard, you are invited to pop in and see what the town has to offer.

The Fair is open from 10.00am to 2.00pm at the Gill Nethercott Centre and there will be FREE refreshments too.
Further details can be obtained from 01256 896270

This official town website will also be present with information as to how local groups can have their own free pages with ability to input their own information.

The event is supported by Whitchurch Town Council, Sovereign Kingfisher, Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council, Basingstoke Volunteer Services and many local groups and organisations.
