Whitchurch is to have its first ‘Volunteers Fair’ this Spring, where local organisations will be able to promote the wide variety of activities available in the town and it’s surrounds.
To be held in the Gill Nethercott Centre on Saturday 2nd April, the Fair is a result of the recently held community group meetings and will be run in conjunction with Basingstoke Volunteer Services.
Clubs, societies and voluntary groups are essential parts of a lively and vibrant community, catering for a wide range of interests and needs. If you have ever fancied assisting at a youth club, helping at a film night, or perhaps taking part in an art project, then this event will be worth visiting. Such groups also often rely heavily on voluntary help to carry out their activities in our town and there will be the chance to offer support and to get involved.
The event will also be a great networking opportunity, where the sharing of ideas and resources will be to the fore. Joining in with local activities can be very rewarding, both in personal satisfaction and for the benefit of the wider community.
Community groups and organisations wishing to have a stand at the event should show their interest as soon as possible by expressing interest HERE.
