Crime logoSeveral vehicles have been broken into.

A local resident published this statement today on this site’s social media page:

Just moved into a new house in what we thought was a lovely quiet area. All the neighbours have been lovely and assured us there has never been any trouble. This morning we woke and found that our van was broken into over night and all machinery and tools have been stolen. Not only does this affect our business but it breaks my heart to think people have been watching and plotting to do this. It makes me feel Unsafe and insecure in our new home which we will soon bring 2 babies into.
So, whoever you are, I hope your happy with your new machinery and tools.
You have left the 2 of us; hard hardworking, tax paying individuals very angry, worried and upset. Probably pointless but if anyone saw or heard anything, please get in contact. (details for contact are below)

Hampshire ConstabularyThe Police have since sent this message:

Overnight between 18/10/2017 and 19/10/2017, we have had three theft from vehicles occur in Whitchurch, near to Bell Street/Bloswood Lane.

We are reminding residents to ensure they lock their car, shutting all windows. If possible, park in a garage or a well-lit area. Do what you can to remove any valuable items; this includes tools as they are often targeted in vehicle break-ins.
