The Local Plan is for the development of the whole of Basingstoke and Deane up to the year 2029.
The Neighbourhood Plan is for development of Whitchurch alone over the same period. It has to comply with the Local Plan, once that is approved, but it can add proposals for additional developments.
The draft Local Plan now out for consultation proposes that the sites for 200 new homes of the 350 total should be decided in the Neighbourhood Plan.
