Police are at the scene of a road traffic incident in Whitchurch in which two people have died.
The incident happened at 6.44am on Twinley Lane close to its junction with Roman Road and involved a silver Renault Clio and a green Ford Mondeo
The female driver of the Clio and male driver of the Mondeo were pronounced dead at the scene.
Roman Road is closed from its junction with Old Newbury Road, Whitchurch and the B3051 while the vehicles are recovered and collision investigators examine the scene.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw either vehicle shortly prior to it is asked to contact Hampshire Constabulary on 101 quoting Operation Mellphone.

Drivers killed in Whitchurch collision named
Police are now in a position to name the drivers who died following a collision in Whitchurch on Monday (January 28)
The collision happened at 6.44am at Cole Henley Road and involved a green Ford Mondeo driven by Roland Holliehead, 65, from Riding Gate, Wincanton in Somerset and a silver Renault Clio driven by Kathryn Rose Hunt, 35 of Jacklyns Lane, Alresford.
Both drivers died at the scene.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, or anyone who saw either vehicle prior to it, to contact PC James Gallimore at Whitchurch Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting Operation Mellphone.
