Whitchurch Silk Mill is looking for talented new Trustees to join their Board at an exciting time in its development. The Silk Mill is a thriving living museum which weaves silk and delights all who visit. Having recently completed a £2.1M restoration and refurbishment, it aims to be entertaining, engaging, and inspiring visitor attraction with ambitions to be nationally recognised and acknowledged industrial heritage site.

Would you like to play a role in a charity which preserves a heritage asset of national importance? We are recruiting two new trustees, one with the potential to become Vice-Chair, to join our board and oversee the sustainability of this unique working museum.

If you are energetic, interested in people and an excellent communicator, and would be interested in contributing to the success of Whitchurch Silk Mill, we would like to hear from you, especially if you have the following skills and experience:

• Tourism focussed commercial operations
• Destination marketing, PR and social media promotions
• Museums and heritage practice
• Raising funds through sponsorship, crowd funding, public appeals or endowments

The role of trustee is voluntary. Trustees are expected to attend 4 board meetings a year, currently held on Saturday mornings. There are also opportunities for joining committees which usually meet quarterly, and occasional working groups.
