After nearly five years in the town Glass-Foolery Ltd closed its doors this weekend. Theresa Job has been running the workshop-based and gift shop in the premises attached to the Town Hall since 2006.
The shop started from an interest in beads and stringing and developed into the creation of various fine articles made from fused glass. Hands-on workshops usually making jewelery became a feature. Anyone who still wishes to have jewelery re-stringed or repaired can call 01256 896733 and ask for Mary.
A new business will be moving into the premises.
Marsha Swanzy soon to open
Meanwhile across the Square the shop vacated by House n Home is taking shape as the base for Marsha Swanzy, a local fashion designer known for her typically English style, which incorporate hints of frivolity and eccentricity.
Marsha has been previously been producing her handmade skirts and jackets from a workshop in Thatcham and she has recently undertaken a project for furnishing at the White Hart.
