From drop in Play Schemes to BMX Workshops, all this week there is a wide range of fun activities taking place for young people.

OPEN ACCESS PLAY SCHEME
At Testbourne Sports Hall, Basingstoke Play Council has brought along loads of fun equipment to use and enjoy – sports, games, art and craft activities are all available.
The event is ‘Open Access’, for children aged 5 to 15, and is held from 10.00am to 12noon, open every weekday (not weekends).
No booking is required – just turn up. There is a small charge of £1.00 on the door.

Summer StreetzSTREETZ
Also throughout the week is the Streetz Programme of activities for 11-17 year olds.
Tomorrow (Wednesday) there is a free BMX Workshop at the Daniel Road Street Park.
The evening session runs from 6.00pm – 9.00pm and is open to all.
A professional BMX Instructor will be present, so you can hone your techniques.
There will also be prizes and certificates for various activities.

On Friday the Streetz programme offers their Open Access Club – similar to a drop-in youth club, with a whole range of activities Examples of what may be offered include Nintendo Wii, Xbox, Dance mats, giant Jenga, and loads more.
Two venues in town are being used:

11-14 years,
Gill Nethercott Centre, open 7.30pm – 10.00pm; and
15 – 17 years,
Testbourne Youth Suite, open 6.00pm – 9.00pm
