This event has really made its mark on the Whitchurch Calendar as The-Go-To-Event that pitches Whitchurch against arch rivals Overton in a hard fought competitive battle of the legs.
Rotten Hill is the hill that separates Whitchurch from Overton and is the basis for much Tongue-in-Cheek banter – as is this event.
It is full of it.

*** SATURDAY 2nd MAY 2020 ***

ink_blue.epsPast glories will be relived
Some may call the main event football, others call it a painful attempt by those losing hair to bring back their lost youth as teams of 40plus-year olds try to relive past glories. Dreams of Pele, Moore, Blanchflower and Greaves will all be chasing the ball to raise funds for charity.

Something for Everyone
The Rotten Hill Cup is a full afternoon and evening of fun, enjoyment, and competition – at least that’s the official line. Others may say differently and retire to visiting the stalls, enjoying the BBQ, having an ice cream or falling into the bar. Its all good fun and their is something for everyone.

ink_blue.epsThe Youth can learn too
And the youth are not forgotten as they need to gain the experience for when they too can emulate the hobbling, stumbling and wheezing of their elders. There is now a Junior Rotten Hill Cup too so no one is left out.

THIS EVENT MUST NOT BE MISSED
