Another Whitchurch record for the year fell today just days after the last, when just after lunchtime those enjoying the sun were treated to temperatures of 27.8ºC – that’s 82ºF in old money.

For those who escaped mowing the lawn, BBQs were out, paddling pools pulled from sheds, and one group of three ladies made the most of the weather and went for a 30-mile cycle ride.

The weather is expected to cool down after tomorrow, but hopefully we will have a good Jubilee weekend.
But who trusts weather forecasts anyway?
What is known is that if you pack the suncream and shades away, it is a cast-iron certainty it will rain – or even snow.
