So what will this year’s winter bring us?
Rain, ice, snow, fog, plummeting temperatures, frozen pipes, treacherous pavements…

Remember the Whitchurch ‘Snow Patrol’ – the group of residents who rapidly got together to get some sand and cleared the most important pavements of packed ice and snow?

Since then over 25 local volunteers have ‘signed-up’ to provide support should the need arise again – a fantastic response.

Severe weather can be very difficult for the most vulnerable, the elderly, the infirm, those with very young children. They can be trapped, unable to buy food or perhaps get in fuel.
The scheme will be setting up a helpline to assist in such cases.

Thursday 10th November, 7.00pm, Gill Nethercott Centre
There is to be a Launch Meeting of the Whitchurch Snow Patrol on Thursday 10th November in the Gill Nethercott Centre.

All welcome.
