Ludgershall 0 – Whitchurch Utd 7
The warm sunny afternoon had a cooling breeze which after a week of hot weather, kept the temperature at a comfortable level.
The friendly game was just that, with Whitchurch putting seven goals into the home side’s net.
Twelve minutes, Charlie Allsop opened the scoring for Whitchurch, followed just five minutes later by Chris Smalley adding the second to the scoresheet.
Play continued in the favour of the Jam Boys, and a minute before half time Lee Hamilton made it three-up.
Whitchurch came out after the break and continued in the confident style they had already stamped upon this game, with Luke Walker finding the back of the net after just four minutes. By now the result was sewn up, but although Ludgershall continued to make it a competitive match the visitors were in good form. Nick Jupp added a brace in the 61st and 85th minutes, while it was left to Luke Walker to put the seal on the match with his second, just before the referee’s final whistle.
The coming season for Whitchurch looks good.
