Scouts logoVacancy for 1st Whitchurch Scout Group Chair (Volunteer)

The Whitchurch Scout Group is looking for a new Chair of the Executive Committee, which provides financial and administrative support to the Group. After 5 years in the role, the current Chairman will be standing down in March.

The role usually requires approximately 1 – 3 hours per month, and includes:

  • Providing leadership and direction to the Executive Committee, consisting of Treasurer, Secretary, Group & Section leaders, plus parent representatives
  • Chairing the bi-monthly meetings and the AGM
  • Ensuring that the Group continues to develop the local Scout offering
  • Acting as one of the Charity Trustees for the 1st Whitchurch Scout Group

No Scouting experience is necessary, as handover/training is available if needed.
