A local resident has spoken out in a ‘Letter’ about the difficulty in obtaining a place at the Whitchurch Primary School.

While this is personally concerning to the family involved, it also raises wider issues over the town’s infrastructure.

With more housing growth planned for Whitchurch there may be increasing pressure on services such as the surgery, schools, water/power supplies and transport for both existing and new residents – although the imminent Town Council’s Neighbourhood Plan may address these.

County, Borough and Town Councillors are being asked to comment, as all are involved in Housing, Planning, and Education issues.

Try living in Andover, Whitchurch has been proud to call itself a town for years so it ought to act like one and not keep the village mentality?
