Whitchurch United’s quest for honours in the Wessex Sydenhams Football League First Division took a slip last tonight (Tuesday), even though they were not playing.

Other matches did not go Whitchurch’s way as all their main rivals picked up valuable points. With both Cowes Sports and leaders Team Solent winning, and Brockenhurst gaining a point in their draw against Ringwood, the Jam Boys were pushed down into 4th position. However they are just 4 points off the league leaders and have an important two games in hand.

Every point is now critical and Thursday’s game at home against Stockbridge will prove crucial. It hoped that a good crowd will attend the Longmeadow ground to cheer the local team on.
Kick off on Thursday evening (April 11th) is at 7.45pm.
