The Blue Ginger Indian restaurant on Bell Street is new again!

The popular restaurant has been refreshed under new management with new paint, new signs and a new website, as we reported last week in our business news section.

The manager, Tito Ferns, an avid motorcycle fan, moved to Whitchurch from Oxfordshire in the summer to take over the restaurant from its previous owners, who have now moved to Reading. He immediately took to improving the look of the building and fixing the interior, whilst keeping the business open and offering discounts during the summer.

Work continues to create a reception/party area. A formal ‘grand opening’ is planned for early in the new year once this work is complete – stay tuned!

Many locals and visitors have rediscovered the place already, and business continues to blossom.

Be sure to download their take-away menu and place your order by ringing 895858. Discounts given.

Book your holiday party, too: here are their Christmas menu and New Year’s menu.

Tito said, “I was born in the countryside and love it – people are more friendly and relaxed.”

He continued, “We can source the restaurant’s supplies from where we like, including the beer. We plan on having draft Cobra available, and offering Fairtrade coffee. We also will set up an all-day buffet.”

The restaurant has seating for 50 people, and there is free parking at the Bell St car park, which is just behind the restaurant. A large variety of tasty dishes are offered for dine-in or takeaway.
