A statement has been issued over the historic pub’s immediate future, two weeks after it was put up for sale by the owners. It is to close on Monday 29th October with two reasons cited – the need for works to the toilets and kitchen to take place, and secondly that it is currently “losing money every week” which would “have a negative impact on the future works”.
The owners state that “it is hoped that a new owner/operator will be found to take the pub forward as a pub in the future” and that they “will be doing [their] utmost to ensure the Red House remains as a pub in the future.”
The Red House is currently on the market at £475,000.
