Walkers are Welcome volunteers have been out this morning with the North Hampshire Countryside Access Team to re-open access along a section of public right of way that had been closed off in the past by the landowner….please see the black arrow indicating the path on the map.
Although NOT a public right of way, locals have been making use of the section of path indicated in blue to skirt the field. This access could be closed off to walkers at any time, so it was important to re-establish the official link between the Longmeadow Track and path 30 (to Micheldever Road).
This field could well be put forward for housing development in the future, it was therefore also important to re-establish the path to ensure that developers make adequate provision in any future planning application.
