Teams in Sunday’s annual Pub Race weaved their way through town then up the long hill of London Road – stopping for a pint at The Prince Regent – before continuing their climb along Lynch Hill Park.
Some residents came out on their lawns to cheer on the teams (and donate!) as they reached the summit of their climb along the gravel path aka Lynch Hill Park, before sending them on their way to the site of the former Railway Inn pub. Signs from two demolished pubs, and a few from the railway, were on display.
There was much horsing around, as the video on YouTube (HERE) and photos below show… a fun day was had by all – especially the children!
