Walking with a camera
A very popular Photographic Walk was held as part of the Walking for Health progamme where advice and help was given on taking those special shots. The small exhibition shows some of the pictures taken on that walk as well as on the regular weekly excursions into the surrounding area.
If you are visiting the Library, or one of the other activitites held at the Centre such as the very popular Friday Country Market, make sure you pop into the foyer to at the pictures.
The Walking for Health walks are held every Wednesday morning. Two circular walks set off from the Gill Nethercott Centre – one at a medium pace lasting around an hour, and a longer, faster walk.
Refreshments are enjoyed together after the walk in what has become a very sociable atmosphere.
Just turn up – they are free
The walks are free and are led by a number of different volunteers so they always have something new. Just turn up at the Gill Nethercott Centre at 9.45am dressed for the weather and with suitable footwear.
Children and dogs on leads are also welcome.
