After a very tense game down at the Longmeadow Ground, Whitchurch United were knocked out from the FA Vase competition.

In their Second Qualifying Round match they were up against Bristol Academy. The visitors gave the ‘Church a hard and close fought game.

After extra time the score was still level, at 3 goals apiece, and had to be decided on penalties, where Bristol took the honours.

Meanwhile, although the game was lost, there is good news for the Club.
Local company B Jackman Ltd would like to announce their continuing support and sponsorship for the 1st team for the 2012-13 season and would like to wish all the team and management all the best.


Next match
The next game for the First Team is a Wessex League away match against Fleet Spurs on Tuesday evening (18th September).
Kick off at the Kennels Lane ground is at 7.45pm
Last season Fleet Spurs finished just one place and two points above Whitchurch in the League table.
