There will be no trains running through Whitchurch this weekend as work takes place on the Newbury Road railway bridge.
Today (Friday) heavy plant started work on the road surface and it is understood that much of the bridge will be taken down this weekend.
Diversions are in place for motor traffic.

South West Trains are running a replacement bus service throughout Saturday and Sunday between Basingstoke and Salisbury, calling at Whitchurch, with extended journey times.
