The Whitchurch Town Council has joined the cyber-age with the launch of its own new Town website,

As well as information on how the Council operates and the services provided, the site covers the responsibilities and contact details of all the present Town Councillors and Committees, and has been designed so that it can be easily be updated by the Town Council themselves.

The site will grow as more content is added, and there is an expandable frequently asked question section that will aim to provide answers to the more usual questions, such as How do I report a fault.

The site has been designed so that Town Clerk Cathy Burt and Assistant Pat Cooper will be able to update it with news, events, and information. They have been receiving training to be able to do this and ongoing support is available.

Future plans include the availability of a hard copy version covering major items which can be downloaded. This will also be distributed locally to libraries and other outlets for those who do not have access to the internet.

With Whitchurch’s new official community-owned site growing in leaps and bounds, the new dedicated Town Council site provides residents full access to a wide range of essential information on events, local services and news.
