NASA took this photo over the UK and Ireland last Wednesday, 28 March 2012.

Were you looking up to the skies last Wednesday?

If so, then perhaps you might have spotted the International Space Station (ISS) flying overhead at the moment when an astronaut on-board snapped this beautiful picture of Whitchurch, Hampshire – and the rest of the UK and Ireland – with the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) glimmering brightly.

Credit goes to NASA for the fabulous picture which you can see in high resolution on their website HERE.
