I make no apologies for copying this from our sister town of Whitchurch in Shropshire.
It is a message I believe we should all try and heed.
1st December is Small Business Saturday. It is also the Launch of our own town’s Christmas.
Please support our local business in Whitchurch.
“One extra purchase will put money back into our local economy. No travelling expenses, no postage and packing, no waiting for delivery, see what you are buying, easy returns and above all personal service. Everything you need is here in your town.”
Today is also our ‘Launch of Christmas Whitchurch’. There are loads of activities throughout the town with with special events at Rising Fives, Testbourne, The Silk Mill, the Parish Hall and Fire Station and many other places too..
You can make wreaths, lanterns, visit Santa, tour the fire station, enter competitions, watch a Christmas film and enjoy our town’s shops and businesses. And this evening the wonderful Lantern Procession leaves the Silk Mill at around 5.45pm to go to the Lights switch on at the Town Hall at 6.00pm with music and carols.
And afterwards you can visit some more shops and enjoy music and refreshments in our town’s wonderful pubs.
PLEASE SUPPORT OUR TOWN and all who make it possible – the volunteers and businesses who make our town such a lovely place.
