Steve Crick with his medal, and his wife Jennifer.

Local runner Steve Crick took part in the London Marathon on Sunday as the previous report HERE.

Steve, whose wife Jennifer is a Special Needs Teacher, was taking part to raise funds for the Hampshire Autistic Society.

After the race he said:

“I managed to finish the race in one piece. It was a brilliant day, the crowds were absolutely incredible, in some places the noise was almost deafening.”

“I hit the dreaded ‘Wall’ at about 24 miles, but the crowds and other runners kept me going and I managed to finish in a time of 3:57:43 which I was really pleased with.”

If anyone would like to sponsor Steve, his sponsorship link will still accept donations.
