Guys have been appearing on the streets for judging, pumpkins are adding colour to doorsteps, fancy dress costumes are being finalised, the bonfire is being built and the firework display has been planned.
The weekend sees the Whitchurch Hallowe’en fun get underway. This evening (Friday), if you saw scary youngsters around, they may have been at Chill2this youth club’s party at the Gill Nethercott Centre, where fun was enjoyed by all.
Saturday sees pumpkin carving down at the White Hart, where children, families, and anyone else can join in to create artistic designs. These can then be taken down the Meadow, where later in the afternoon guys will start arriving in time for the announcement of the winners.
This year’s bonfire is in the form of a castle, with assistance from the Primary School and the Beavers, while the fireworks will be by Whitchurch-based Pyrotastic.
Expect a fantastic awe-inspiring display.
