Fishing COVID 19Fulling Mill statement on Fishing:

This is a polite notice to let Whitchurch residents know that we (Fulling Mill) will be following the latest govwernment guidance lifting restrictions on fishing and will start to let fishing commercially from tomorrow.

In practice, not much will change from before Covid in the sense that fly fishing is very much a solitary sport – only one or max two individuals are permitted to fish at any one time on our stretch of river, but we are keeping to social distancing guidelines so that there are no shared facilities with us or our riverkeeper, and the fishing cabin will be cleaned after each use.
As before, we let fishing from Tuesday to Friday (never weekends, or Mondays, or during weed-cut).

So, don’t be alarmed if you see one or even two fishermen in the river during the week, but be aware that the legitimate ones will be wearing waders and will be fly fishing in the river itself – not standing on the footpath by the dog dip or on the bridge !!!

Unfortunately, we – like the Town Mill, Silk Mill and Tufton Fisheries – are really seeing a surge in poaching at this present time.
If you see poaching in progress, please don’t approach, but call 999 to report.

Thank you.
